Yunique AI
    AI Governance Implementation

Move AI governance from policy into practice.

Yunique AI helps organisations design and embed the governance structures, accountability, controls and operating processes needed to manage AI in day-to-day business activity.

Implementation is tailored to the organisation's AI use, risk profile, regulatory environment and existing governance model.

    From Design to Operation

Governance only works when it becomes part of how decisions are made.

Policies, frameworks and assessments can define expectations and identify gaps. Implementation turns those requirements into operating structures, workflows, controls, responsibilities and evidence that can function in practice.

    Capabilities

    What implementation can include.

    Governance Operating Model

Design governance structures, decision rights, escalation routes, committees and oversight appropriate to the organisation.

    Roles & Accountability

Define ownership for AI systems, use cases, controls, risks and significant decisions.

    AI Use & Risk Processes

Embed processes for identifying, assessing, approving, reviewing and escalating AI use.

    Controls & Evidence

Translate governance requirements into practical controls and establish how evidence of approvals, reviews, decisions and oversight will be maintained.

    Integration into Existing Workflows

Embed AI governance into relevant processes such as procurement, third-party management, development, deployment, change, privacy, security and incident management.

    Monitoring & Review

Establish appropriate review triggers, monitoring arrangements and mechanisms for governance to adapt as AI use changes.

Capability areas are indicative. The activities included in any engagement are agreed in advance and reflect the organisation's governance environment and priorities.

    Aligned to Your Obligations

Implementation should fit the organisation — not force the organisation into a template.

Where relevant, implementation can align with applicable legal, regulatory and standards-based requirements, including recognised AI, privacy, security and risk-management practices.

    Examples may include

    • ISO/IEC 42001
    • ISO/IEC 42005
    • EU AI Act requirements
    • Data protection obligations
    • Security and risk-management frameworks
    • Sector-specific requirements

Not every engagement involves every standard or regulation, and the relevant requirements depend on the organisation and the agreed scope. Yunique AI is an advisory firm, not a certification body.

    The Role of CLEAR

A methodology, not a separate system to install.

CLEAR is Yunique AI's proprietary AI governance methodology. Where appropriate, it can be used to structure implementation across Clarity, Legal & Risk Alignment, Enablement, Accountability and Responsible Execution.

Implementation may also incorporate recognised standards, regulatory requirements and the organisation's existing governance structures.

    How It Works

    The typical engagement.

A typical implementation engagement moves through four stages. Timing and depth depend on the organisation and the scope agreed.

    01

    Understand

Confirm the governance gaps, priorities and implementation scope.

    02

    Design

Develop the target operating model, controls, accountability and workflows.

    03

    Implement

Embed governance into relevant organisational processes and ways of working.

    04

    Embed & Review

Support adoption, evidence, monitoring and transition into ongoing governance.

    Deliverables

Governance that can operate after the engagement ends.

    Potential outputs may include

    • AI governance operating model
    • Governance roles and accountability matrix
    • AI inventory and governance requirements
    • Approval and risk-assessment workflows
    • Control framework
    • Governance policies and procedures
    • Decision and evidence requirements
    • Review and escalation processes
    • Implementation roadmap
    • Executive or board governance materials
    • Training or capability support where relevant

Final deliverables depend on the scope agreed. Not every output forms part of every engagement.

    When It May Be Appropriate

AI Governance Implementation may be appropriate when:

    • ✓An organisation has identified governance gaps but needs help fixing them
    • ✓Existing AI policies are not yet embedded into operational processes
    • ✓Accountability for AI use is unclear
    • ✓Governance needs to align with emerging regulation or standards
    • ✓Teams need consistent approval, risk and oversight processes
    • ✓An audit or assessment has identified remediation priorities
    • ✓AI adoption is growing faster than existing governance arrangements

Implementation is not something every organisation needs. Where existing governance is already operating, a narrower piece of work may be more appropriate.

    How the Engagements Relate

Different needs call for different engagements.

These are not mandatory sequential purchases. Organisations may engage Yunique AI at different points depending on their needs and governance maturity.

    Scope & Fees

    Scoped by enquiry.

Implementation scope varies significantly by organisational size and complexity, the number and type of AI use cases, the business functions involved, governance maturity, jurisdictions and regulatory exposure, the controls requiring design or remediation, and the level of implementation support required. Scope and fees are agreed following an initial conversation.

    Implementation · Common questions

    What organisations ask about implementation.

Designing and embedding the governance structures, accountability, controls and operating processes an organisation needs to manage AI in day-to-day business activity — so that governance operates in practice rather than remaining a recommendation.

Typically procurement, development, release and incident handling — the processes where AI decisions are actually made — together with committee structures and decision rights that give those decisions named owners.

Delivery. The engagement covers governance built into existing ways of working, not a report proposing that someone else build it.

Scoped by enquiry. Scale depends on the organisation's size, the extent of AI use and the governance foundations already in place.

Not necessarily. A prior CLEAR Assessment or AI Defensibility Audit gives a clearer starting point, but implementation can begin from a scoping discussion where the priorities are already understood.
