Yunique AI Joins UKAI, the UK Trade Association for Artificial Intelligence

London, UK — 1 October 2026 — Yunique AI has joined UKAI, the UK trade association for artificial intelligence, becoming part of a wider community of businesses working across the UK AI ecosystem.

Founded by former CISO and DPO Yunique Demann, Yunique AI helps organisations address a growing challenge: not simply adopting AI responsibly, but being able to demonstrate how decisions involving AI were governed.

As AI becomes embedded across organisations, policies and principles alone are not enough. Leaders increasingly need to understand who is accountable for AI use, how risks are assessed, how decisions are approved, what controls are applied and what evidence is retained.

This is the foundation of Yunique AI’s approach to Defensible AI — governance that enables an organisation to explain what happened, evidence how decisions were made and defend those decisions when challenged.

Joining UKAI gives Yunique AI the opportunity to become part of the wider UK AI community and contribute to the conversations taking place around how AI is adopted and governed.

My work is grounded in a simple principle: organisations should be able to explain not only what their AI governance says should happen, but demonstrate what actually happened when an AI-related decision was made.

I’m looking forward to bringing that perspective to the UKAI community, learning from others across the AI ecosystem and building new relationships.

    — Yunique Demann, Founder & AI Governance Strategist, Yunique AI

“UKAI is pleased to congratulate Yunique AI on becoming a member and to welcome the organisation into our dynamic network of AI leaders campaigning for a strong and responsible AI industry across the UK. Their expertise in AI governance will be a valuable contribution, and we look forward to supporting their continued growth.”

    — Tim Flagg, Chief Executive, UKAI

UKAI brings together organisations from across the UK AI ecosystem, supporting collaboration, knowledge sharing and engagement with the policy, regulatory and industry developments shaping artificial intelligence in the UK.

For Yunique AI, joining UKAI creates an opportunity to connect with the wider UK AI community, exchange perspectives and contribute its experience across AI governance, privacy, security and accountability.

Yunique AI’s work remains focused on helping organisations move from declared governance to demonstrated governance — establishing the accountability, controls and evidence needed to explain and defend AI-related decisions.
